The COUGS opened the 2026 season on the road, playing a feisty East Georgia State College team that had a few weeks of playing under their belt. The 4-game series spotlighted some very encouraging moments, with many players showing flashes of greatness. The weekend saw home runs by Landon Young (2), Jaiden Glency, Brenan Goering, Dawson Calero, and exciting baseball with stolen bases by 8 different COUGS! Unfortunately, even with all that excitement, the COUGS still dropped their first 4 games as their defense and pitching performances weren't good enough to seal the victory in the early 2026 season.

The COUGS are back to the diamond at 1 pm today, 2/9, in a non-conference matchup with cross-town rival SWIC at Lloyd Hopkins Field in Alton, IL.
