St. Charles Community College Baseball welcomed Dyersburg State on Tuesday, March 23rd, for what ended up being an eventful afternoon of baseball. The Cougars won the game 18-15, with an impressive comeback starting in the fourth inning.
Dyersburg kicked off the game with 8 runs in the first inning, taking a big lead early on. But the Cougars started to turn things around in the fourth inning, scoring nine runs in four hits, including a home run by Brady Kilker to score three. In the fifth and sixth innings, the Cougars cemented their lead, scoring four runs in each inning.
Kurt Leiber led in RBIs with five, followed by Jaiden Glency and Brady Kilker with three of their own. Jaiden, Kurt, and Chance Greene all delivered three hits. In total, the Cougars had 16 hits in the game.
Next up, the SCC Cougars will travel to Kansas City for the first two games of a four-game series against Metropolitan Community College.
